Susanna’s positive outlook and dedication to her students, team, and the entire school community remain steadfast, even during the most challenging times. As a Dual-Language Immersion educator, she expertly navigates instruction in both English and Spanish, fostering academic excellence in her young students while creating a warm, nurturing environment where they feel safe and eager to learn. Mrs. Duenas’ leadership extends beyond her classroom walls, as she actively participates in PBIS, Budget, and Leadership committees, providing invaluable insights that contribute to the school's overall success.

She is equally dedicated to her colleagues, always ready to lend a hand and ensure tasks are completed efficiently and with care. Parents feel valued and welcomed by her positive attitude and thoughtful approach. Through both challenging and smooth times, Olga's willingness to help never falters, making her a treasured asset to our school community. For her commitment, kindness, and steadfast dedication to everyone she encounters, Ms. Olga Zuniga undoubtedly deserves to be recognized as Sunnymead’s Classified Employee of the Year.

Moreno Valley Unified Triumphs at RCOE National History Competition

 

In Moreno Valley, Calif., 34 students from the Moreno Valley Unified School District have demonstrated excellence at the RCOE National History competition, advancing with 16 projects to the state level. With 46 schools, including 13 from Moreno Valley, participating in the competition, a diverse range of institutions showcased their talent. Among 386 student entries, Moreno Valley participants secured 34 wins, highlighting their dedication to academic excellence. These winning students will progress to the California State Competition at CSU Sacramento on April 19-24, 2024.

Esports All Girls Tournament

The Moreno Valley Unified School District is hosting its first-ever All Girls Esports Tournament on Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 9:00 AM - 3:30 PM.
