English Learner Advising Committee
This committee meets through the school year to review the programs, materials, and budgets set up for our English Learners (EL). This committee is facilitated by our EL Specialist and is open to all parents to discuss the services provided to our EL students.

Mission Statement
The Mission of the Parent Resource Cen­ter is to build stronger, healthier families by empowering parents through re­sources, services, and parenting educa­tion.
Goals
The goals of the Parent Resource Center are to:
- Build a positive working relationship between home and school
- Assist parents in developing skills that promote their children's education
- Identify the needs of parents and provide resources to meet those needs
- Create relationships that will reach and assist parents who have language barriers.
- Actively engage in outreach to support the involvement of parents in their children’s education
- Establish a parent information center that links parents to available resources
- Provide training and workshops for parents in English and Spanish on topics such as:
o Home and School
o Knowing and understanding your rights as a parent
o Other workshops based on parents interest and requests

Nuestros Objetivos
Los objetivos del Centro de Recursos para Padres son:
- Construir una relación positiva de trabajo entre el hogar y la escuela.
- Ayudar a los padres en el desarrollo de
habilidades que promueven la educación de sus hijos.
- Identificar las necesidades de los padres y proveer los recursos para satisfacer dichas necesidades.
- Crear relaciones que permitan alcanzar y ayudar a los padres que tienen barreras del idioma.
- Participar activamente en actividades para fomentar la participación de los padres en la educación de sus hijos.
- Establecer un centro de información para los padres que los conecte a los recursos disponibles.
- Proporcionar capacitación y talleres para padres en Inglés y Español sobre temas tales como:
1. Colaboración entre el hogar y la escuela
2. Conocer y comprender sus derechos como padre.
3. Otros talleres basados en los intereses y solicitud de los padres
