I began my teaching career at Canyon Springs High School, where I proudly served as an SDC (Special Day Class) Science teacher for grades 9-12. This experience ignited my passion for supporting students with diverse learning needs and set the stage for my journey in education. A few years later, I embraced a new challenge at Badger Springs Middle School as an RSP (Resource Specialist Program) teacher for Math and Language Arts. Here, I had the privilege of working closely with students, their families, and the school community, nurturing my enthusiasm for collaborative education. Driven by a desire for growth and innovation, I joined the remarkable team at MVOA (Moreno Valley Online Academy), where I gained valuable insights into individualized education and the vital role of meeting students at their unique academic levels. Then, I had the honor of serving as the Elementary M/M (Mild/Moderate) Program Specialist, overseeing 11 elementary schools within our district. In this capacity, I dedicated myself to collaborating with teachers and staff to ensure the success of special education programs, promoting inclusivity and a supportive environment for every student.
Now, I stand truly honored to be part of the exceptional team of educators at Sunnymead Elementary as your Assistant Principal. My vision for this school site is to create an inclusive and nurturing environment where every student feels valued and empowered. I am committed to fostering a culture of academic excellence, equity, and innovation. Through collaboration with dedicated staff, engaged parents, and our vibrant community, we will work together to unlock the full potential of every child. Together, we will cultivate a love for learning and provide a solid foundation for each student's bright future. I am excited to embark on this journey with you all and look forward to the incredible achievements we will accomplish together at Sunnymead Elementary.
