Welcome to Sunnymead Elementary – Home of the Shining Stars!
As the new principal of Sunnymead Elementary, I am honored to join such a caring and vibrant school community. Having served the Moreno Valley Unified School District for many years as both a teacher and educational leader, I am especially excited to return and continue serving the community that has shaped so much of my career. I am passionate about helping every student reach their fullest potential and believe every child deserves a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where they feel valued, inspired, and empowered to learn, grow, and shine.
At Sunnymead, we know it truly takes a village. Together with our dedicated staff, supportive families, and community partners, we are committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunities, support, and encouragement they need to succeed. Together, we will create a culture of belonging, kindness, high expectations, and joyful learning where our Shining Stars can thrive.
On a personal note, I grew up in New Jersey, am of East Indian heritage, and have proudly called the Inland Empire home for many years. My husband and I have been married for 23 years and have three wonderful children and two fur babies. We enjoy spending time together and with family and friends, traveling, reading, staying active, and exploring the outdoors. I also enjoy connecting with families from diverse backgrounds and am grateful to speak English, Spanish, and some Telugu.
